UMARMY 2014 Update

Hey Lufkin UMARMY 2014,

We are having tool inventory day this Saturday, June 7th, at 9 a.m. for EVERYBODY going to UMARMY, both youth and adults. We will be inventorying and completing all the tool kits. Once the initial inventory is done we will send a couple of adults to Harbor Freight and Lowe's to get what is needed for us to complete all the kits.

During the tool run, if some of you would like to run to Goodwill to get some work clothes that you don't mind getting paint on, you can do that. We will just need everyone back to complete the kits and put them back up.

On Sunday, June 8th, right after church (12:15 pm)we will have a meeting for adults and the parents of youth going to UMARMY. We will be giving out packing lists, contact info, what to bring/not to bring, and schedules for loading, leaving and returning.

2013 Survivor Schlitterbahn Trip

Deadline for trip sign-up is September 30, 2013. Get your form in with 65.00 to Valerie Fernandez in the church office. The winning survivor team members will get their money back after Wednesday, October 2nd.

Hey Guys! Don't forget to come to church tomorrow at 8:40am or 11:00am to support the Class of 2012 on their Senior Sunday! Youth Band will lead us in worship and it will be a great day to remember for the Class of 2012!

Deep F.R.Y.

Summer 2012-Youth Mission Trips

Summit: The Jr. High Mission trip is $145 per youth with a $25 deposit per youth due on the 15th. The balance is due May 13th. The youth can sell stock to off set the cost of the trip. Summit is July 25 - 28 in College Station Tx.

UMARMY is $270 per youth with a $75.00 deposit per youth due on the 15th. The balance is due May 13th. The youth can sell stock to off set the cost of the trip. UMARMY is June 24 -30 in Baytown Tx. UMARMY is for students who have completed 9th grade through graduated seniors.

FUMCa Bowl and Super Bowl Sunday

Join us this weekend for some great stuff!
Saturday we will meet at the high school practice field at 1 pm for The Touch Football Game of the Year! Make sure you dress for the weather because we will play come rain, sleet, snow or sunshine.
Sunday night “ 5:05 @ 805” starts with a church-wide meal in the Christian Life Center. After we eat, we will head over to the Youth Center to watch the Super Bowl. This event is open to anyone so invite a friend or bring your whole family. You will need to bring your favorite snack and enough to share!

Dave's Move in January 28,2012

DAVE AND HIS FAMILY WILL BE IN LUFKIN AROUND 530p TO 6p. They were making good time until they had a blow-out on their trailer. Pray for safety. Dave Gray is going to be a part of great things at Lufkn FUMC-Satan is already trying to mess up his trip here!!

Survivor Schlitterbahn Trip

7th-12th grade: Cost 40.00 ( Blue team goes free)
Get signup sheets at Sunday School or Wednesday night MYF.
Deadline for signup is Feb 20th. Everyone that is going needs to fill out form, even the Blue Team) as soon as possible. The cost includes admission, basic meal band and dinner on the way home. You will need to bring extra money for souvenirs.

Soul Survivor

The winning team and individual winners will be announced this Wednesday. We have a pictures to show, games to play and food to eat! Invite friends. FUMC youth is THE place to be on Wednesday nights. Signups for the Survivor Schlitterbahn trip will begin in a few months. Cost will be $40.00 plus money for dinner on your way back. Remember the winning team members go FREE.

Great job Survivor teams. You donated 505 cans of food to CISC and Rev Betty's food ministry. Awesome discipleship!!

Soul Survivor week 2

Great time of fellowship and worship. 66 youth and 30 adults participated this Wednesday. Wilson Vier and the blue team were victorious in the project competition. Nisha George and the green team are breathing down their necks. It is anybody's game to win. Remember to be disciples and invite guests. Have a great week.
